Chapter History
In 1934, our late founder and first president, Mamie E. Caskie and her staff were led of the Lord to begin a missionary enterprise in this great metropolis. God blessed the ministry of the first 'pioneer' missionaries and those of us who have succeeded them have witnessed and rejoice in the fruit of their labors.
For over thirty years our chapel was located in Boston's South End where opportunities for the services of the missionary were unlimited. A move from this area to our present location was necessitated by a citywide redevelopment program, which began in 1962. Our present location, 1900 Columbus Avenue, was opened in March 1968. This location by reason of its need has been consti tuted a 'mission field' by theologians and laypersons, alike, who tour the area and view it in prospective.
Following the precedent set at the mission's beginning, the emphasis of our program is based on the spiritual enlightenment and Christian development of those who meet and worship with us. Gospel services and Bible classes are held for adults and children to bring fulfillment to these purposes.
Supplementing this first and all-important program, weekly classes are held for the purpose of teaching music.
In spite of the fact that we live in an affluent society, there are many who know, and feel, the pangs of hunger and the miseries of frustration. These who 'hope for help' find 'help and hope' at Boston's Grace and Hope Mission.
We are indebted to many who support this ministry and our charitable programs. We are members of the Boston Food Bank and recipients of grants from Project Bread, United Way and the Mayor's Office. Working together we have helped to alleviate human suffering in this part of God's vineyard.

Reports BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS 1900 Columbus Avenue Estelle J. Clasing, Superintendent ".... I will praise thy name, 0 Lord ... " - Psalm 54:6 As this issue of the Evangel goes to press another conference year will have, once again, passed us by. It has forever sunk into an unretrievable past. We do not grieve its passing, however, for the God of yesterday is the God of our tomorrow. In retrospect we can only say with the Psalmist, "0 Lord, how great are thy works" and "how great is thy goodness." Psalm 31: 19 We look forward with enthusiasm to the opportunities In 2010 Where the need for our services is unlimited, Pray that as we plant and/orwater the seed of the Word it will take root in the hearts of men and women bringing them salvation, satisfaction and subrnission In addition toour ministerial programs, we are thankful for an extended food pantry where those who are reaching out for help and hope will find it here. Our special thanks to the volunteers who give of their time and strength, making our charitable services possible. Thousands of pounds of food are needed each mouth to meet the demand of those who would, otherwise, go hungry. We were happy for my family members who came to spend some quality time with us in December, 2009. My sisters, Alice (Edie) L. Benner and Georgia R Clasing, arrived just in time to help uS'l'hth our Annual Bazaar, held on Saturday, December 5th. Again, it was a group of our membership who volunteered their services to make this fundraising effort possible. On Sunday, December 20th, A Christmas Cantata, entitled "You're Never Too Old For Christmas" was presented by the adults and children of the congregation, We wish to thank each of you , near and far, Who stand by this min' istry with your faithful prayer and financial support. We wish each of you a Blessed New Year.
